Pastor Bob Welsh grew up in Schuyler County, Missouri. In 1968 He trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior during an old fashioned revival meeting at the Lancaster Baptist Church. After serving as worship leader at the Lancaster Baptist Church for five years he was called to serve as pastor of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, Missouri in 1984. After 16 years in Atlanta, Pastor Bob accepted the call to become the Senior Pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri in October, 2000. He served there until becoming Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Moberly. Pastor Bob retired from FBC at Senior Pastor in March of 2022 and returned in September 2022 as Worship Pastor
From 1986 to 2000 Pastor Bob was a member of the Southern Gospel singing group, The Wildwood Quartet. During his tenure with the group, the quartet presented over 300 gospel music concerts throughout the Midwest. He has had the opportunity to preach and lead worship in over 60 revivals and bible conferences.
Pastor Bob and his wife Chris have two daughters and eight grandchildren. He enjoys sharing Jesus, preaching God's Word, singing Gospel music, reading good books, watching reruns of the Andy Griffith Show and old western movies, and spending time with his family.
